Job summary

Takeda seeks a Sr. Utilities Engineer in Social Circle, GA to support plant utility systems including cooling towers, chillers, boilers, HVAC, and water systems.

You will troubleshoot, improve reliability, and lead projects from concept through implementation within a manufacturing setting. You will collaborate with Maintenance, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Automation, Validation, Reliability, and EH&S to drive energy and water reduction, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required, 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with plant/utilities or dark/gray utilities (cooling towers, boilers, HVAC).
• Experience in operational manufacturing environments; pharma is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving with cost-effective solutions.
• Ability to read P&IDs, process diagrams, and equipment specs.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for critical plant utility systems and troubleshoot equipment.
• Analyze data to improve reliability, efficiency, and manufacturing continuity.
• Collaborate across Manufacturing, Operations, Maintenance, QA, Validation, and EH&S.
• Lead or support studies, specifications, system assessments, and capital projects.
• Support preventive/predictive maintenance and root-cause investigations.
• Identify opportunities to reduce energy/water use and operating costs.
• Assist with commissioning, validation, SOPs, P&IDs, and change controls.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors to ensure safe, efficient work.
• Serve as SME for assigned utility systems and stay current on standards.
