Job summary

Pasco County BOCC seeks a Sr. Engineer to act as a technical expert for large utilities projects. You will lead studies, coordinate consultants, and manage design through construction for the Capital Improvement Plan.

The role requires PE licensure or equivalent experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and proven ability to deliver complex public-works initiatives on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, project management or related field with 5 years of public utilities experience.
• Master’s degree with 3 years of public utilities project management and design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license and 4 years of engineering experience as a PE.

Responsibilities

• Lead, scope, coordinate, manage, and review work of engineers and consultants.
• Oversee field changes, commissioning, and warranty phases on projects.
• Provide technical support for treatment facilities, pump stations, and utilities.
• Coordinate with regulators and county departments on regulations and new tech.
