Job summary

Collier County Public Utilities seeks a licensed professional engineer to design, review, and oversee diverse construction and development projects. You will lead project management activities, coordinate contractor work, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities include preparing plans and cost estimates, reviewing site development and permit documents, performing field surveys, and providing technical guidance to staff and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; related fields may be accepted in non-engineering concentrations.
• Five (5) years of related experience.
• Fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Directs and guides contractors; coordinates daily work activities; inspects progress.
• Ensures compliance with codes, ordinances, regulations, and approved plans.
• Prepares designs, plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Reviews development plans and permits for code compliance.
• Performs site visits, inspections, and field surveys; gathers data.
• Provides technical advice to contractors, staff and clients.
• Prepares technical reports and bid specifications.
