Job summary

Polk County BoCC seeks a Senior Capital Projects Manager in the Utilities Division to lead large CIP projects for potable water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems. Responsibilities include planning, design, construction oversight, budgeting, and regulatory coordination while mentoring staff.

Must hold an ABET-accredited engineering degree and a Florida PE license, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited four-year engineering degree (civil or environmental).
• Minimum of ten (10) years of engineering design, permitting and project/construction management in water/wastewater utilities.
• Minimum of four (4) years of supervisory or senior project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex Utilities CIP projects from planning through close-out.
• Monitor schedules and budgets to align with County objectives.
• Present updates to County leadership, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
• Provide technical review and guidance for engineering reports and designs.
