Job summary

Collier County Public Utilities is seeking an experienced engineer to design, review, and oversee construction and development projects within the Engineering and Project Management Division. The role ensures compliance with applicable laws, codes, and standards while coordinating with contractors and field crews.

Responsibilities include preparing plans and specifications, managing project schedules and budgets, performing site visits, and providing technical guidance to staff and consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• Five years of related experience.
• Fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction to contractors and crews; coordinates daily work activities.
• Interprets and ensures compliance with codes, regs, standards and approved plans.
• Prepares design and construction documents; estimates costs.
• Reviews site development and construction plans for compliance with codes and standards.
• Coordinates project management; monitors schedules and budgets.
• Performs site visits, inspections, and data collection; resolves issues on site.
• Conducts engineering analyses and prepares reports; recommends solutions.
• Reviews plan approvals for various permits and rezoning applications.
• Maintains and updates stormwater management system inventories.
