Job summary

LaSalle Network is hiring a Utilities Engineering Expert to support a Bellwood, IL facility in a highly collaborative manufacturing environment. You will help build and scale utility systems for the ground-up infrastructure, driving reliability, sustainability and cross-functional capital projects.

This direct hire role offers hybrid work, with responsibilities across design reviews, commissioning, KPI monitoring and sustainability initiatives to maximize uptime and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• 10+ years of utilities engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale refrigeration systems and mechanical utilities.
• Proven expertise with wastewater treatment system design, operation and compliance.
• Strong project management experience delivering complex infrastructure/capital projects on time and within budget.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical details into actionable insights and influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design review, equipment selection and contractor coordination for mechanical utility systems.
• Develop maintenance strategies, SOPs and monitoring systems to ensure utilities are safe, compliant and continuously available.
• Manage utility and wastewater system startup/commissioning and transition to full-scale production operations.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, EHS and Facilities to ensure utilities meet business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximize uptime, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Drive energy efficiency, water conservation and waste reduction initiatives aligned to sustainability goals.
