Job summary

Lilly is building a novel manufacturing startup in Goochland County, Virginia. The Utilities Engineer will establish and maintain reliable clean utility systems and support grey systems for biotech manufacturing, ensuring in-control, compliant operations and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include leading start-up activities with the Global Facility Delivery Team, defining equipment qualifications, and coordinating with operations, quality, and safety teams to ensure readiness

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Utility Engineering Teams, preferably in a manufacturing GMP environment.
Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Lilly will not sponsor work authorization or visas.

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain reliable operation and qualified state of clean utility systems and supporting grey systems.
Ensure processes are in-control, compliant, and capable of meeting manufacturing needs.
Lead troubleshooting to resolve unit operations, equipment and operational issues.
Develop and implement control strategies to sustain utilities systems in support of manufacturing operations.
