Job summary

The Town of Addison seeks an experienced Utility Billing Clerk to support utility and airport tenant billing, prepare reports, and handle account transactions. You will work closely with staff to ensure accurate billing and timely processing in a customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Two (2) years of accounting experience in municipal finance or customer service.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the accurate and timely preparation of statements and reports related to utility and airport billing, collection, and payment activities for the Town.
• Demonstrate effective customer service skills and coordinate with other departments on meter services and move-in requests.
• Assist in planning and help control month-end, interim, and year-end reporting for utility and airport billing and collection efforts.
• Assist the Utility Billing Supervisor with reconciliations of receivable accounts and other special projects as needed; serve as primary back-up to Supervisor.
• Interact with customers to resolve utility and airport billing and collection issues.
• Perform additional duties as required or assigned, including during Town special events.
