Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Sr. Principal Pilot USMC Aviation to join our team in Orlando, FL (and other NG locations). The role supports mission planning with USMC aviation platforms, providing SME guidance, training, and customer collaboration.

Requires extensive aviation hours and a DoD Secret clearance. Responsibilities include briefing senior officers, delivering training, and coordinating with Program Offices to optimize mission planning solutions for warfighter effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years aviation experience; OR Masters’ degree with 6 years aviation experience; OR a PhD with 4 years aviation experience.
• USMC aviation flight experience. Minimum of 500 flight hours.
• Mission Planning experience.
• Experience developing, delivering and sustaining training.
• Experience with briefing senior military officers.
• Active DoD Secret clearance, adjudicated within the last 5 years OR under continuous evaluation (CE)

Responsibilities

• Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) guidance to engineers developing mission planning solutions for USMC aviation platforms including UI/UX, mission planning workflow, operational usage, and deployment considerations
• Conduct briefings and demonstrations to aircraft platform Program Offices, Headquarters Marine Corps, MAWTS-1, TAK community, and other government agencies
• Collaborate with customer pilots for feedback on NG mission planning products towards improved warfighter capability
• Deliver training and address help desk questions from the USMC pilot community
