Job summary

YipitData seeks a Senior Payroll & Benefits Administrator to own US payroll operations for 500+ employees and oversee the benefits programs. You will collaborate with Finance and People Ops, ensure multi-state compliance, and manage self-insured health plans. This remote-friendly role can sit in NYC or anywhere in the US, with attention to New York tax withholding when applicable.

We expect East Coast work hours, and the base salary range is $105,000–$115,000 with equity included in the package.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on payroll and benefits administration experience.
• Direct responsibility for running payroll for 500+ US employees using ADP Workforce Now.
• Experience managing multi-state payroll and benefits invoicing.
• Familiarity with self-insured benefits plans and NY Convenience of the Employer rule is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll and tax requirements.
• Experience with benefits administration, invoice reconciliation, and audits.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; detail-oriented with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end US payroll processing for 500+ employees.
• Collaborate with Finance and People Ops on payroll inputs and changes.
• Serve as the payroll subject matter expert with ADP and internal stakeholders.
• Manage multi-state payroll and tax requirements for a distributed workforce.
• Oversee benefits invoicing, deductions, and open enrollment coordination.
• Review reconciliations, W-2s, month- and year-end processes, and controls.
