Job summary

Veolia Group’s Water Technology team leads the design and delivery of ultrapure water solutions for the microelectronics sector in North America. You will drive process engineering for UPW systems, balancing capital and operating costs with technical risk while coordinating with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

The role requires deep UPW knowledge, strong leadership, and collaboration across bidding, design, and commissioning activities, with travel up to 10% within North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in an Engineering field (Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical)
• 10+ years of UPW treatment design experience
• Demonstrated experience with UPW treatment processes and system design/operation for the microelectronics industry
• Proven ability to integrate multiple unit operations into cohesive, optimized treatment systems
• Familiarity with process design software/tools such as WinFlows, WAVE, and/or GasCAD, plus proficiency with spreadsheets (Google Sheets, Excel)
• Clear, concise communication and presentation skills with internal and external stakeholders
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in US/Canada or willingness to obtain licensure
• Willingness to travel up to 10% within North America

Responsibilities

• Lead the process design of ultrapure water treatment solutions for the microelectronics industry
• Water chemistry characterization and design basis development, including reclaim-to-UPW applications
• Unit process design, equipment sizing, and process guarantees
• Apply advanced treatment technologies (ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, RO, ion exchange, UV, gas-transfer membranes)
• Own system integration across unit operations or collaborate with a system integrator
• Evaluate system operation under design and upset conditions and participate in HAZOPs
• Engage in piloting and benchmarking treatability studies for design, commissioning, and troubleshooting
