Job summary

Pfizer Inc in the United States seeks a Senior Associate Scientist (R2) to join the Upstream Process Development team. You will design and execute bench-top bioreactor experiments to develop scalable, high-yield production processes for recombinant proteins for early- and late-phase trials.

You will lead technology transfer to pilot and GMP facilities, support manufacturing campaigns, and contribute to regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years’ industrial experience or Master’s degree with 0-2 years in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• Relevant research experience in a laboratory setting is required.
• Ability to grasp scientific concepts and interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments in scale-down models to develop robust, high-yield processes.
• Serve as upstream technical lead and ensure technology transfer to GMP facilities.
• Document data in ELNs and contribute to regulatory submissions (IND, BLA).
• Collaborate with project teams and maintain a safe, productive lab environment.
