Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a skilled field service technician to inspect and service power electronics, UPS systems, and battery backups at mission‑critical facilities.

You will travel to sites, perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and document findings while coordinating with on‑site teams to uphold safety and quality. The role requires 5+ years OEM experience, an AA/BS in Electrical/Electronics, and willingness to travel 7x24x365, with strong problem-solving and communication

Qualifications

• AA/BS degree in Electrical and/or Electronics from an accredited college or university, or equivalent field or military training.
• Minimum of 5+ years OEM experience in power electronic system maintenance and repair.
• Experience with various UPS systems, batteries, test equipment, and associated electrical apparatuses.

Responsibilities

• Daily travel with independent work structure.
• Emergency call availability 24/7 unless on PTO or Off Call.
• Maintain/safeguard company issued equipment, tools, and instruments.
• Battery Repair & Replacement; installations and replacements.
• Perform required preventative maintenance service to equipment under contract as scheduled.
• Customer contact and interface.
• Communicate availability status to corporate office.
• Protect company proprietary information, manuals, and records.
• Coordinate and manage all on-site subcontractors hired by M.C. Dean as necessary.
• Complete all paperwork, including Field Service Reports, Time Sheets, and Expense Reports timely and accurately.
