Job summary

Georgia’s Own Credit Union in Dunwoody, GA is seeking a Universal Banker II to deliver exceptional member service, open accounts, process loans, and actively promote products to grow member relationships. You will work across in-person, phone, and digital interactions and support branch operations.

The role includes mentoring peers, onboarding new Universal Bankers, and helping achieve branch service and production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and equivalent years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One to three years’ experience in a financial branch environment or experience comparable within the financial industry or a retail sales environment.
• Provide coverage at other branches when necessary and work Saturday rotation schedule.
• Ability to communicate with members and others at all levels of the Credit Union, in both written and verbal formats.
• Experience with the loan application process and standard or typical internal operating policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of current industry offers, market trends, competitors, and Credit Union lending and member service policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates the ability to interpret and apply financial information (e.g., credit scores, debt, assets, balances, payments, interest rates, etc.) and perform math functions.
• Demonstrates analytical thinking, problem solving, decision making, and judgment by gathering and applying relevant data to research and resolve issues.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point software applications.
• Candidates must be able to pass a background check including: Credit, Drug Screen, Bondability, & Criminal Background.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service through in-person, telephone, and digital member interactions.
• Build and strengthen member relationships by identifying needs and recommending appropriate products and services.
• Open consumer and business membership accounts.
• Assist members with account maintenance, problem resolution, and service requests.
• Process and support consumer loan applications and related documentation.
• Conduct consultative conversations to identify deposit, lending, and relationship-growth opportunities.
• Maintain timely follow-up with members and document member interactions in designated systems.
• Promote Credit Union products and services through referrals, education, and relationship management.
• Support achievement of branch service, production, and member-experience goals.
