Job summary

Topgolf International is seeking a Senior Unity Developer to lead the Games team in delivering Unity-based interactive experiences across Topgolf venues. You will own architecture, performance, and end-to-end delivery from concept through production, collaborating with designers, artists, QA, and platform engineers.

You will mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, and ensure reliable live experiences in a high-traffic entertainment environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience developing games or interactive applications in Unity, including owning systems and technical direction end to end.
• Strong, demonstrated C# programming skills and a track record of shipping production-quality code.
• Deep experience building gameplay systems, UI flows, game-state machines, and real-time interactive features.
• Strong understanding of Unity performance optimization, profiling, memory management, and build configuration.
• Experience leading or informally leading engineers and coordinating with design, art, QA, and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and optimize Unity games and interactive experiences for Topgolf venues; own key systems.
• Design gameplay systems, UI, animation, scoring, camera behavior, effects, and game-state logic.
• Lead integration of Unity games with internal Topgolf services, APIs, and venue hardware.
• Partner with designers and product owners to translate concepts into prototypes and production-ready features.
• Collaborate with artists on asset pipelines, shaders, VFX, and performance-conscious visuals; set quality standards.
• Improve testability, diagnose hard-to-reproduce issues, and coach others in debugging venue/platform issues.
• Write clean, maintainable C# code and uphold code-review standards; own build and deployment workflows.
• Drive performance optimization strategies for venue hardware and live-entertainment scale.
• Lead technical planning, estimation, and sprint ceremonies; break down initiatives into shippable work.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and maintain existing titles while guiding new product initiatives.
