Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a permanent Union Payroll and Labor Compliance Specialist to join our payroll team in California. The role focuses on weekly payroll processing for hourly and field crews, audits of timecards, and ensuring compliance with union agreements and applicable regulations.

The ideal candidate brings at least 5 years of payroll experience, familiarity with Procore and LCP Tracker, and a strong understanding of California wage-and-hour laws.

Qualifications

• 5 years of payroll experience (esp. union payroll) and strong knowledge of California wage-and-hour laws.
• Experience with weekly payroll processing for hourly/field crews and certified payroll.
• Familiarity with union collective bargaining agreements and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Process Weekly Payroll: calculate and run weekly payroll for hourly/field crews.
• Timecard Auditing: review field timecards for allocations, overtime, and meals compliance.
• Transaction Management: process new hires, terminations, rate changes, and garnishments.
• Reconciliation & Reporting: match payroll records to cross-system data and resolve discrepancies.
• Regulatory Adherence: ensure compliance with CA wage-hour laws, federal rules, and CBAs.
• Certified Payroll: prepare and submit certified payroll reports when required.
• Wage Verification: audit classification, fringe benefits, and apprenticeship requirements.
