Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Senior UC Engineer to act as the senior technical authority for enterprise collaboration, voice, and video services across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will provide hands-on Tier 3 troubleshooting and ensure rapid diagnosis and resolution.

You will monitor service health, drive QoS integration, support platform lifecycle activities, coordinate incident response, and develop technical documentation to support operations and governance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in telecommunications engineering or unified communications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Experience supporting enterprise voice, video, and collaboration platforms (VoIP, VTC, UC).
• Strong troubleshooting for Tier 3 issues and knowledge of QoS.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust; U.S. citizenship or national status required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical authority for enterprise collaboration, voice, and video (UC) services across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Provide hands-on Tier 3 troubleshooting for complex UC issues.
• Monitor service health, performance metrics, alerts, and capacity indicators.
• Provide technical direction for unified communications platforms.
• Collaborate with network and operations teams to ensure QoS and network integration.
• Support platform lifecycle activities including upgrades and migrations.
• Coordinate incident response and service restoration for voice/video platforms.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base materials.
• Contribute to service management reporting and SLA performance.
• Serve as liaison with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
