Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Senior UC Engineer to act as the technical authority for enterprise voice and video services across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will provide Tier 3 support, drive stability, and lead lifecycle activities for collaboration platforms.

The role requires 8+ years in UC/telecom, strong QoS expertise, and excellent stakeholder collaboration. Contingent upon contract award, the position offers a path to impactful government-focused work in a mission-critical

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in telecommunications engineering, unified communications, or related enterprise IT roles.
Experience supporting enterprise voice, video, and collaboration platforms (VoIP, VTC, UC).
Proven Tier 3 troubleshooting for complex UC issues.
Knowledge of QoS, network integration, and voice/video optimization.

Responsibilities

Serve as senior technical authority for enterprise collaboration, voice, and video (UC) services across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Provide hands-on engineering support and Tier 3 troubleshooting for UC service issues.
Monitor service health, performance metrics, alerts, and capacity indicators to drive stability improvements.
Develop technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base materials to support operations and governance.
Coordinate incident response and service restoration for voice/video platforms in mission-critical environments.
Collaborate with network and operations teams to ensure QoS and seamless integration.
Support platform lifecycle activities including upgrades, migrations, and readiness testing.
Liaise with stakeholders and service provider teams to ensure reliable communications delivery.
