Job summary

Amentum in Arlington, VA seeks a Senior Unified Communications Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise UC solutions. You will deploy VoIP, video, and collaboration platforms, integrate with AD and cloud services, and ensure security and high availability in a DoD-aligned environment.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of telecom/UC experience, TS/SCI clearance, and CCNA-level Cisco skills, with hands-on expertise in Cisco UC appliances, SIP, and virtualization.

Qualifications

• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI or the ability to acquire SCI.
• 8+ years of telecommunications experience with Cisco UC and converged networks.
• Knowledge of Cisco UC Manager, IM&P, Expressway, VCS, and SBC.
• Expertise in Cisco Collaboration Call flow and SIP signaling.
• Networking fundamentals including firewalls, ACLs, and 802.1x authentication.
• Experience with ESXi virtualization.
• Familiarity with DoD STIGs.
• Ability to deploy and maintain Cisco UC dial plans and routers for VoIP.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement unified communications solutions for scalability and security.
• Install and configure UC systems including VoIP, video, and collaboration tools.
• Monitor and maintain UC infrastructure; apply updates and patches.
• Integrate UC with network, AD, and cloud services.
• Enforce security protocols and compliance standards.
• Provide end-user support and training as needed.
• Create and maintain system documentation and runbooks.
• Manage vendor relationships for hardware, software, and services.
• Develop and test disaster recovery procedures.
