Responsibilities

• Performs a combination of duties within departmental guidelines.
• Works on highly complex underwriting risks using diagnostic and systematic analysis.
• Develops specialized endorsement language for highly complex risks.
• Determines appropriate pricing of complex risks for the assigned book of business.
• Makes recommendations on underwriting policy and pricing strategy.
• Analyzes quality, quantity, and profitability of highly complex risks underwritten; prepares reports for management.
• Markets products and services through agencies or brokerage communities and conducts field visits.
• Maintains agency/broker relationships with large producers to drive profitable outcomes.
• Keeps current on state/territory issues and regulations; may participate in industry groups.
• Mentors and guides less experienced underwriters and assists in training.
• Utilizes advanced CNA systems for day-to-day activities.
• Responsible for special underwriting projects and presentations.
