Job summary

SCI Summit Consulting, LLC is seeking an Underwriting Specialist to evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business in our Southeast region. The role can be based in Gainesville, GA or remote from GA, IL, TN, IN, SC, KY, NC and involves working hybrid with in-person and remote cues.

The candidate will analyze risk data, collaborate with actuaries and agents, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Risk Management and Insurance or related field or equivalent experience.
• Generally, a minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience or related field.
• Progress toward professional designation preferred (AU, CPCU, CIC, INS, ARM).

Responsibilities

• Underwrites new and renewal business per guidelines and risk appetite.
• Analyzes risk data to inform coverage, pricing, and terms.
• Collaborates with actuaries, agents, brokers, and clients for information.
