Job summary

SCI Summit Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced Property & Casualty Claims Specialist to manage and investigate claims, determine liability and settlements, and maintain detailed files. This on-site role in Gainesville, GA offers a hybrid schedule (4 days in office, 1 day remote) with potential remote work across GA, IL, IN, KY, NC, SC, TN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of property and casualty claims handling experience.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage an inventory of claims to evaluate compensability/liability.
• Conduct claim investigations to determine coverage, liability, and damages.
• Negotiate settlements and reserves within authority; attend arbitrations or trials as needed.
• Communicate coverage and settlement details to insureds, claimants, and external partners.
• Authorize payments within authority and ensure timely processing.
• Maintain accurate, detailed claim files and correspondence.
