Liberty Mutual Insurance in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Large Construction Underwriter to provide expert technical underwriting across auto, general liability, and workers' compensation for OCIP/CCIP programs. You will work with field underwriters and underwriting managers on referrals and consultations.

The role focuses on ensuring consistency in primary casualty and excess placements, guiding pricing decisions, and monitoring portfolio performance.

Qualifications

Expert-level knowledge of coverage forms, exclusions, and exposure.
Pricing, structure, rating, loss forecasting, credit risk, market knowledge.
Experience with Construction programs, regulatory environment, loss control/risk engineering, and reinsurance concepts.

Responsibilities

Provide expert underwriting guidance across auto, general liability, workers' compensation, and OCIP/CCIP for Large Construction.
Align primary casualty and excess placements across wrap-up programs and advise on pricing decisions.
Monitor portfolio performance and identify drivers of results, risks, and opportunities.
Drive underwriting technical excellence and lead collaboration with leaders and product teams.
Develop opportunities for product and service improvements and coordinate resources to implement them.
Engage with brokers and reinsurers; participate in customer meetings and new business discussions.
