Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking an Executive Underwriter or AVP Underwriting Director for Management Liability based in Philadelphia. The role requires in-office days with a strong sales mindset to drive renewal opportunities and new business for Directors and Officers, EPL, Fiduciary, and Crime lines.

Key duties include managing underwriting rules, collaborating with line-of-business partners, and building relationships with agents and brokers to support retention and growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in underwriting or market-facing area or 10+ in claims/underwriting support.
• Broad knowledge of financial lines products (D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime).
• Strong sales mindset with ability to renew and win new business.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with distributors and clients.

Responsibilities

• Administer underwriting rules, rating manuals, and relevant insurance regulations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with distributors and customers to support retention and growth.
• Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities and assess growth potential.
