Atradius Trade Credit Insurance Inc in the United States (Baltimore area) seeks a Senior Underwriter to join the US subsidiary's underwriting team. You will evaluate limits, set risk strategies, and act as risk liaison with commercial teams, brokers, and customers in a governance-driven environment.

Requires 5 years of commercial credit experience and strong financial analysis, with a potential annual bonus. Hybrid in-person/remote work and competitive benefits are offered.

Formación

• The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in business, finance or economics and 5 years of commercial credit or lending with financial analysis.
• Master’s degree and/or Credit/Finance Certificate is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate and approve new limit requests within delegated authorities while applying underwriting principles and procedures in line with corporate governance.
• Establish credit insurance exposure thresholds for aggregate risk appetite and maintain risk scores/ratings on buyers within delegated authorities.
• Set and articulate underwriting strategies for each known buyer group, buyer and sector within the portfolio.
• Monitor exposure development of the portfolio and modify the underwriting risk management approach as necessary to optimize the claims ratio.
• Prepare and present formal recommendations to the Credit Committee for customer requests exceeding risk thresholds.
• Serve as Risk liaison to commercial team, brokers, and customers, managing expectations around risk underwriting.
• Participate in calls and buyer visits to enhance portfolio risk management.
• Ad-hoc project-specific deliverables as required.
