Job summary

Atradius N.V. seeks a Senior Underwriter for the US Credit Specialties team, focusing on trade credit and political risk insurance for banks and corporations. Ideally based in Hunt Valley, MD, with consideration for NYC.

You will underwrite and manage a portfolio, build broker and client relationships, and contribute to North American growth while collaborating with global colleagues. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Commercial Underwriter, Account Manager, or Risk Underwriter.
• Strong financial statement analysis skills and risk assessment abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; client and broker interface.
• Proven business development and relationship management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage a portfolio of specialized trade credit and political risk policies.
• Support profitable portfolio growth with disciplined risk management.
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, banks, and corporate clients.
• Structure and negotiate customized insurance solutions; review contracts and finance agreements.
