Job summary

AXA XL is seeking an experienced underwriter to join the Central USRM team in Dallas. You will underwrite, manage and service a profitable book of new and renewal business according to AXA XL guidelines.

You will build broker relationships, review risk, determine terms and pricing, and coordinate with accounts. The role emphasizes risk stewardship, cross‑marketing, and strategic portfolio management within AXA XL’s diverse lines.

Responsibilities

• Produce, underwrite, manage and service a profitable book of new and renewal business per AXA XL underwriting guidelines.
• Underwriter conducts risk review and analysis and determines terms, conditions and pricing within authority and guidelines.
• Underwriter negotiates and secures policy terms that align with AXA XL directives.
• Underwriter cultivates key broker relationships in the region to maintain a steady stream of business within our underwriting appetite.
• Underwriter builds and maintains relationships with accounts, providing risk stewardship and service commitments, including account setup, documentation and ongoing management, coordinating with internal service providers.
• Underwriter cross-markets with other AXA XL lines; meets with brokers and insureds as required.
• Develop and manage underwriting strategies for renewals and targets within portfolio, including product penetration and cross-marketing plans to increase company share.
• You will report to the Head of Central USRM.
