Job summary

Allied Public Risk, LLC, a subsidiary of K2 Insurance Services, LLC, is seeking a Senior Underwriter to join its team remotely.

You will work with the Lead Underwriter to oversee production, underwriting, and profitability of the book of business, reviewing submissions, pricing, and ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines.

The role requires strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, with travel up to 20% as needed to support growth and client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production, underwriting, and profitability of book of business.
• Review new submissions for risk, documentation, and pricing.
• Analyze loss runs and calculate loss ratios.
• Prepare referrals for Lead Underwriter and approvals.
• Meet new business hit ratio and renewal retention goals.
• Train new underwriters on guidelines and file requirements.
• Coordinate with UW Support to issue policies and endorsements.
• Develop new business and maintain carrier relationships.
• Participate in broker marketing calls.
• Meet performance standards across underwriting tasks.
