Kettle Inc. is an MGA focused on property insurance solutions across the United States. We are seeking a Senior Manager, Underwriting to lead underwriting operations, manage a team of underwriters, and contribute to profitable growth of our E&S property portfolio.

You will balance technical underwriting, portfolio management, broker relationships, and regulatory compliance in a technology-driven environment. This role offers remote-friendly options and travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial property (E&S) underwriting experience.
• 5+ years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience in commercial property (E&S) underwriting.
• Experience with MGA, MGU, Lloyd's, or delegated authority environments.
• Surplus Lines licenses in home state and multiple non-resident states.

Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting leadership and portfolio management.
• Directly supervise, mentor, and develop a team of underwriters.
• Develop and maintain broker relationships and drive business development.
• Collaborate on strategy, product development, and regulatory compliance.
