Job summary

AXIS Capital in Chicago invites a Senior Underwriter to lead Management Liability (D&O, EPL, Fiduciary Liability, Crime) for private company accounts under $3B in revenue. You will analyze, quote, bind, and market new and renewal business, guided by established guidelines.

The role requires 5+ years in underwriting, strong broker relationships, and the ability to manage a book with meaningful GWP, including travel to meet brokers and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 5+ years in underwriting Management Liability (D&O, EPL, FL, Crime).
• Strong presentation and people skills; ability to build broker relationships within the region.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and market awareness.

Responsibilities

• Retain existing business while prospecting new opportunities in Private Company Management Liability.
• Manage a book of business with new lines, renewals, and cross-marketing of product lines.
• Develop limit structures, retentions, pricing, and endorsements within guidelines.
