Job summary

Farm Family seeks an experienced Underwriter III for a 100% in-office role in the United States. The candidate will review large books of business, assess complex risk scenarios, and educate agents on underwriting procedures and new products.

Responsibilities include presenting to underwriters and agency groups, coordinating with marketing and field staff, and leading small independent projects. US work authorization required; visa sponsorship not offered.

Qualifications

• Four to six years of underwriting experience.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree preferred, not required.
• Some P&C or farm/commercial industry knowledge.
• AALU, AU, AINS certification preferred or in progress.
• U.S. work authorization; visa sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

• Participates in rate-making meetings and shares regional items for vetting.
• Evaluates components of a book of business and risk impact.
• Evaluates requests for appeals and departmental audits.
• Presents webinars for underwriters, marketing, and agencies.
• Coordinates with Manager, marketing and field staff on agent performance.
• Educates, coaches, and trains agents on underwriting procedures and products.
• Supports agents and field management as educator and coach on profitability.
• Leads smaller independent projects and can work with others or independently.
