Job summary

Farm Family in Omaha, NE seeks an Assistant Underwriter to work with a mentor Underwriter to prepare new and renewal accounts for review. You will collect and analyze underwriting information to ensure proper documentation before referral.

This is a desk role based in an office location with periodic travel to meet agents. Responsibilities include supporting underwriting decisions, managing workflows, and delivering professional service to Field Agents and CSRs while contributing to policy

Qualifications

• Associate degree required in a related field.
• Minimum of one year as an Associate Underwriter or three years in related insurance experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, appraises, and recommends submissions for acceptance or refusal for mentor Underwriter.
• Works within limited underwriting authority to make terms, conditions, and pricing decisions.
• Prepares new and renewal accounts for Underwriter review with proper documentation.
• Manages workflow queues and ensures timely quality reviews.
• Provides timely professional service to Field Agents/CSRs.
• Communicates with Field Agents/CSRs to obtain underwriting information.
