Job summary

Farm Family in Omaha seeks an Assistant Underwriter to support the underwriting team. You will prepare new and renewal accounts for review, collect and analyze information, and ensure proper documentation before passing to the mentor Underwriter.

This is a desk role with in-office expectations and periodic travel to meet agents in the field. You will collaborate with Field Agents and CSRs, manage workflow to meet turnaround times, and provide professional service while pursuing agency growth,

Qualifications

• Associate degree completed.
• Minimum one year as Associate Underwriter or three years in related insurance experience.

Responsibilities

• Review, appraise, and recommend submissions for acceptance or refusal.
• Work within limited underwriting authority to set terms, conditions, and pricing.
• Prepare new and renewal accounts for Underwriter review through data collection and analysis.
• Manage workflow queues to support turnaround time and file quality.
• Provide timely, professional customer service to Field Agents and CSRs.
• Communicate with Field Agents/CSRs to obtain underwriting information.
