Integrated Specialty Coverages, LLC is seeking a Senior Underwriter Mid-Market for Workers’ Compensation to evaluate applications, determine coverage levels, and set pricing within underwriting guidelines. This senior role requires authority to approve, decline, or mitigate risks and to mentor junior staff.

The position offers remote work across the United States and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree (or 10+ years in underwriting) and at least 5 years

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of related underwriting experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Workers’ Compensation underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting risk for construction, hospitality, real estate, and manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry software.
• Ability to collaborate with team members and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to underwriting guidelines and pricing strategies to maintain profitability.
• Approve or decline applications within authority limits and prepare referrals for excess risk.
• Review risk characteristics on applications, renewals, and change requests.
• Ensure underwriting activities comply with regulations.
• Document underwriting files with risk analysis and pricing justification.
• Collaborate with producers to achieve production goals.
• Utilize databases and software to gather data and price risks.
