Integrated Specialty Coverages, LLC is seeking a Senior Underwriter Mid-Market for Workers Compensation. This remote US role focuses on reviewing and pricing workers comp applications, determining coverage levels based on risk, and ensuring profitable distribution of risk across clients.

The position requires 5+ years in Workers Compensation underwriting, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or 10+ years of related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Workers Compensation underwriting or related insurance experience.
• Experience underwriting risk for construction, hospitality, real estate, manufacturing.
• CPCU, CIC, CRIS, Property & Casualty license or equivalent a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn industry-specific software.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to underwriting guidelines and pricing strategies to maintain profitability.
• Approve or decline applications within limits and prepare referrals for excess risks.
• Review risk characteristics on applications, renewals, and change requests.
• Ensure compliance with industry and government regulations in underwriting.
• Document underwriting files with risk analysis and pricing justification.
• Offer recommendations to clients to reduce exposure to risk.
• Collaborate with producers to meet production goals.
• Gather data from multiple databases and verify data for submissions.
