Job summary

Philadelphia Insurance Companies is seeking a Senior Underwriter to support growth and profitability of the Management and Professional Lines portfolio. This individual will underwrite and market products, manage a profitable book, and develop strong agency relationships while delivering underwriting excellence across Management Liability products.

The role handles complex underwriting issues with manager assistance as needed and may be based in AZ, UT, NV, MT, ID, OR, CO, WA, NM or WY.

Qualifications

• Advanced technical knowledge of Financial Lines and Management Liability insurance products.
• Strong analytical, financial analysis, and risk assessment skills.
• Sales, marketing, negotiation, business development, and relationship management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and market assigned products to grow a profitable book of business.
• Evaluate, select, and price risks per guidelines and authority levels.
• Prepare submissions and negotiate terms, pricing, and endorsements for complex business.
• Develop agency relationships and drive revenue through brokers and producers.
• Mentor less experienced underwriters and contribute to team knowledge.
