The full salary range reflects the competitive labor market value for similar positions across the nation and offers opportunities for growth as employees develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual may include a compensation plan with commission and/or bonuses, which vary based on multiple factors outlined in the plan.

Responsibilities:

• Risk Selection: Review, rate, underwrite, evaluate, and assess insurance applications by qualifying accounts, identifying risks, setting premiums, and negotiating deals.
• Agent/Broker Relationships: Support Key Agents and Brokers with responsive service, visits, and meetings to build long-term relationships and a strong pipeline.
• Portfolio Management: Manage a complex book of business by analyzing opportunities for growth, profit, and diversification, and executing marketing strategies.
• Documenting the Deal: Maintain comprehensive and compliant files reflecting decision-making processes.
• Leadership: Mentor and coach underwriters and analysts, sharing expertise and providing updates.
• Continuous Improvement: Engage in activities and initiatives that promote ongoing process enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Intermediate knowledge of insurance products, underwriting, risk assessment, and related fields; advanced territory management skills.
• Ability to apply underwriting tools, systems, and resources; a bachelor’s degree and 8-10 years of relevant experience preferred; CPCU or similar designation strongly preferred.
