Job summary

Sompo International in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Senior Underwriter, Cyber/E&O for the Sompo Pro team. You will underwrite MLP, Tech E&O, Cyber, and related E&O lines, assessing risk and setting terms and pricing in coordination with brokers.

The role requires at least 5 years of professional lines underwriting experience, strong communication, and travel up to 10%. The company offers comprehensive U.S. benefits, a pay-for-performance culture, and opportunities for long-term career growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional lines underwriting experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting of Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Technology Errors and Omissions, Cyber Liability, Media Liability, Architects and Engineers Professional Liability, and Insurance Agents and Brokers.
• Ability to evaluate all individual risk characteristics and properly determine capacity, attachment point, terms and pricing.
• Maintain and enhance existing broker relationships as well as identify and develop new relationships within the Pacific South region with both retail and wholesale partners.
• Develop and execute marketing plans aimed at retaining existing business and producing new opportunities that fit with in the Sompo Pro division risk appetite.
• Ability to effectively interact, communicate and negotiate with all levels of external and/or internal business partners.
