Job summary

Sompo in Dallas is seeking a Senior Underwriter for Cyber/E&O to join the Sompo Pro team. You will underwrite miscellaneous professional liability, technology-related E&O, cyber liability, and related lines, assessing risk, terms and pricing, and maintaining broker relationships in the South-Central wholesale market.

The role requires at least five years of professional lines underwriting, excellent communication and analytical skills, and about 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Established relationships within the Wholesale Network in the South-Central Marketplace.
• Minimum of 5 years of Professional lines Underwriting Experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Technology Errors and Omissions, Cyber Liability, Media Liability, Architects and Engineers Professional Liability, and Insurance Agents and Brokers
• Evaluate all individual risk characteristics and properly determine capacity, attachment point, terms and pricing
• Maintain and enhance existing broker relationships as well as identify and develop new relationships within the South-Central region wholesale marketplace
• Develop and execute marketing plans aimed at retaining existing business and producing new opportunities that fit with in the Sompo Pro division risk appetite
• Effectively interact, communicate and negotiate with all levels of external and/or internal business partners
