Job summary

Sompo Holdings, Inc. in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Underwriter for Cyber/E&O to join the Sompo Pro team. The role focuses on underwriting Cyber, Technology E&O, and related professional liabilities, with broker relationship management across the Pacific South region.

You will evaluate risk, determine capacity and pricing, and collaborate with retail and wholesale partners while marketing to retain and grow business. Travel about 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of Professional Lines underwriting experience.
• Established relationships with Retail and Wholesale Network in the Pacific South Marketplace (Los Angeles, Irvine, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Denver, Salt Lake City).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting of Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Technology Errors and Omissions, Cyber Liability, Media Liability, Architects and Engineers Professional Liability, and Insurance Agents and Brokers.
• Evaluate all individual risk characteristics and properly determine capacity, attachment point, terms and pricing.
• Maintain and enhance broker relationships and identify and develop new relationships within the Pacific South region with both retail and wholesale partners.
• Develop and execute marketing plans aimed at retaining existing business and producing new opportunities that fit within the Sompo Pro division risk appetite.
• Interact, communicate and negotiate with all levels of external and/or internal business partners.
