Job summary

Neural Earth is seeking a Senior Underwriter to sit inside carrier books, run Prometheus against exposure, and explain model divergences to senior executives. The role blends practitioner authority with commercial impact, owning accounts and the numbers.

Responsibilities include underwriting in complex wind/wildfire scenarios, drafting diagnostic memos, and shaping product strategy with engineering and the CEO. Travel ~40% may be required.

Qualifications

• 6 to 9 years inside a carrier, reinsurer, or MGA: pricing actuary, underwriting manager, cat modeling lead, or portfolio manager.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite alongside the customer and embed in carrier or reinsurer's actual book.
• Draft a memo diagnosing a loss ratio divergence and recommend a decision.
• Define new category/account strategy and argue the line should exist with the buyer as a peer.
• Translate learnings from the bound book into the product roadmap with engineering and leadership visibility.
• Diagnose divergence and articulate which is which in public settings.
