Job summary

Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, MD seeks an Undersea Warfare Analysis Lead to provide technical contributions and leadership in support of US Navy undersea superiority. You will join a team of analysts and operators to apply the latest technologies to Navy/DoW challenges.

You will spearhead analyses of undersea platforms, weapons, and sensors, and communicate results clearly to executive leadership via briefs and reports.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, Science, Operations Research or related field with 5+ years Navy USW/ASW/SSW domain experience.
• Strong analytical, operational, problem solving and organizational skills; ability to lead studies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interaction with Navy/DoW.
• Willingness to travel short term to naval bases/vessels; U.S. citizenship.
• Active security clearance or eligibility for TS/SCI level clearance.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead analysis of USW/ASW/SSW platforms, weapons, and sensors.
• Develop methods and metrics for evaluating operational use of systems.
• Lead cross‑functional teams; deliver succinct results to executives via briefs/reports.
• Document results for DoW and Navy sponsors; brief command staff on findings.
• Interact with DoW/Navy personnel to prioritize tasks and coordinate execution.
• Guide development of employment concepts for undersea platforms and sensors.
