Job summary

Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks an Undersea Warfare Analysis Lead to guide analytical efforts on USW/ASW/SSW platforms, weapons, and sensors in support of national security. You will lead cross-disciplinary teams, develop evaluation metrics, and clearly communicate results to DoW and Navy sponsors.

Qualifications

• BS degree with five or more years of relevant Navy-related experience (USW/ASW/SSW).
• Strong analytical, operational, problem solving and organizational skills, with ability to lead studies.
• Proven ability to lead small analysis teams and communicate results clearly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with Navy/DoW and fleet personnel.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead analysis of USW/ASW/SSW platforms, weapons, and sensors.
• Develop methods and metrics for evaluating operations.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, data analysts and operators in a team environment.
• Develop analysis plans, lead teams, conduct analyses, and brief executive leadership.
• Document results in reports and annotated briefs for DoW/Navy sponsors.
• Interact with DoW and Navy personnel to prioritize tasks.
• Brief sponsor staff on results.
