Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; construction management education is a plus.
• 8–10 years of underground utility construction experience.
• 3–5 years in supervisory or superintendent roles preferred.
• Strong knowledge of water, sewer, storm drain installations and related utilities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs; OSHA aware.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise multiple pipe crews and subcontractors on underground utility projects.
• Coordinate daily construction activities for efficient water, sewer, and drainage installations.
• Review plans, permits, and schedules to meet contract requirements.
• Plan manpower, equipment, and materials to maintain productivity and schedule.
• Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies on site.
• Monitor trench safety, excavation operations, and utility locates.
• Coordinate inspections with municipalities, engineers, and utility reps.
• Track progress and communicate schedule updates and issues to management.
• Ensure installation quality, testing, and documentation of utilities.
