Job summary

Global Earthwork + Underground is seeking an Underground Utility Superintendent to oversee field construction, enforce safety/quality policies, and align with project management to meet milestones. The role requires coordinating with subcontractors, clients, and regulatory bodies while managing schedules and budgets on site.

Pay rate ranges from $130,000 to $145,000 per year, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will read plans, manage timelines, monitor costs, and train crews.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately read plans and specifications to perform and verify a quality work review.
• Ability to understand job constraints and budgets as projects are executed to profitably close the job.
• Ability to work independently with little instructions.
• Self-motivated with strong time management skills to ensure employees and job requirements are both satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage work to ensure it is executed in line with contract documents and timelines.
• Plan schedules communicating area of responsibility and milestones.
• Monitor material/equipment deadlines impacting the area.
• Enforce safety and quality control policies on site.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, customers, GC, engineers, suppliers and officials.
• Train employees and interact with internal departments to keep projects moving.
