Job summary

Crucible ETN is seeking a Mobile Maintenance-Master for East Tennessee Mines to oversee maintenance of underground mining equipment and uphold MSHA safety standards. The role requires strong leadership, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to diagnose complex diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, root-cause analysis, and leading component repowers, with a focus on keeping equipment operational and safe in an demanding underground mining

Qualifications

• 5 years heavy equipment mechanical experience.
• Strong safety discipline and MSHA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all MSHA regulatory and company standards.
• Must have a Safety-First mindset; leading the way to a safe work environment.
• Promote and assist in maintaining a positive work culture.
• Demonstrate strong leadership qualities.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair underground mobile mining equipment (LHDs, haul trucks, bolters, scalers, drills, and utility vehicles).
• Inspect, service, and maintain diesel engines, hydraulic systems, braking, drivetrain, and electrical CAN-bus systems.
• Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend component life.
• Identify root causes of recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Interpret schematics, service manuals, diagnostic software, and monitoring systems.
• Lead major component repowers including engines, transmissions, axles, pumps, and cylinders.
