Job summary

Crucible ETN in East Tennessee is seeking a Senior Mine Engineer to lead mining operations, develop schedules, and design levels and longhole blasting patterns. You will collaborate with geology and survey teams to optimize resources while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in mining, proficiency with Deswik, and a strong understanding of mining regulations. This is a full-time, on-site position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in the mining industry.
• Experience in mechanized, high-volume, low-margin mining operations including shallow-dipping ore bodies and long-hole mining methods (cut & fill, room and pillar).
• Experience as a mine production engineer or short range planner beneficial.
• Experience using Deswik (Preferred).
• Understanding of mining regulations and statutory responsibilities.

• Work with the geological department to increase the mineral resource.
• Provide guidance to short term planning/scheduling to ensure alignment to longer term goals.
• Establishing and maintaining appropriate communications within the MTS department to understand their needs and provide advice for Geology and Survey as required.
• Establishing and maintaining appropriate communications between the MTS department and other departments by maintaining appropriate relationships and a be-of-service approach.
• Work collaboratively with mine production and geology departments and assist other functional areas to achieve their objectives.
