Crucible ETN in East Tennessee is seeking a Senior Mine Engineer to lead mining operations, develop schedules, and design levels and longhole blasting patterns. You will collaborate with geology and survey teams to optimize resources while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in mining, proficiency with Deswik, and a strong understanding of mining regulations. This is a full-time, on-site position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in the mining industry.
• Experience in mechanized, high-volume, low-margin mining operations including shallow-dipping ore bodies and long-hole mining methods (cut & fill, room and pillar).
• Experience as a mine production engineer or short range planner beneficial.
• Experience using Deswik (Preferred).
• Understanding of mining regulations and statutory responsibilities.

• Establishing and maintaining appropriate communications between the MTS department and other departments by maintaining appropriate relationships and a be-of-service approach.
• Work collaboratively with mine production and geology departments and assist other functional areas to achieve their objectives.

• Minimum 5 years in the mining industry
• Experience in mechanized, high volume, low margin mining operations preferably including shallow dipping ore bodies. Experience in shallow dipping ore bodies utilizing cut & fill, room and pillar, and long hole mining methods
• Experience as a mine production engineer or short range planner beneficial
• Experience using Deswik Preferred
• Sound understanding of the functions carried out by the geological and mine engineering departments
• Understanding of technical and operating processes relevant to mine planning and scheduling
• Understanding of technical and operating processes relevant to project planning and scheduling
• Understanding of mining regulation and statutory responsibilities
