Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a safety‑driven Foreman to lead crews on underground electrical distribution projects. You will work on energized and de‑energized lines, travel to multiple sites and report to the General Foreman.

Essential duties include safety briefings, supervising installation and repair work, and ensuring quality and on‑time project completion. CDL and willingness to travel are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of underground line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods at job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Lead crew members and conduct pre-job and tailgate safety briefings.
• Perform new construction, maintain and repair underground distribution systems while prioritizing safety.
• Oversee project work and ensure quality and completion deadlines.
• Install and repair underground facilities and conductors, including troubleshooting on primary and secondary systems.
• Handle switching and tagging procedures, grounding and voltage checks on energized/de-energized lines with proper PPE and tools.
• Coordinate live line work using insulated sticks for testing voltage and switching.
• Operate and maintain excavation equipment (backhoes, trenchers, excavators, pulling equipment).
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and be available for outages, storms, and on-call rotations.
