Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Engineer II, VAST Operations and Execution to join a team focused on safe, affordable spaceflight. You will advance the design, development, and test of launch vehicle Umbilical Systems for New Glenn, contributing to on-time delivery and rigorous performance.

Applicants should have a strong background in project management and engineering, with 3+ years of experience and a passion for space. Relocation support is available and occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or related technical field.
• 3+ years of project or program management experience.
• Experience managing complex, cross-functional technical projects.
• Proficiency with scheduling and planning tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet, Jira).
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and risk management.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project execution from requirements through delivery.
• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
• Coordinate across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, test, and launch ops.
• Identify and mitigate technical, schedule, and programmatic risks.
• Facilitate design reviews and program status meetings.
• Manage supplier and vendor deliverables with Supply Chain on contracts and performance.
• Communicate project status and decisions to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Promote safety, continuous improvement, and disciplined execution.
